| Dongfeng Motor Corporation(abbr. DFM) has
grown to be one of the three big automotive groups in China
since it was gounded in 1969. Its main facilities are located
at Shiyan, Xiangfan, Wuhan and Guangzhou. Its headquarters was
moved from Shiyan city to Wuhan city on Sep. 28, 2003. Its main
businesses include full series commercial vehicles, passenger
cars, automotive components and devices. By the end of 2003,
the company has owned RMB63.68 billion of total assets, RMB27.3
billion of net assets and 112000 registered employees. Entering
new century, DFM focuses on participating in international competition.
Complying with the development strategy “evolvement during joining,
cooperation during competition, be stronger during growing”,
DFM has upgraded the international cooperation to a new level.
After comprehensive joint venture and reorganization, DFM has
stood at a new start with good development momentum. At present
and near future, DFM will grasp the current historical opportunities,
strive to realize “Three doubles” in sales nd output, operation
profit and employees’ income within 5 years. DFM will increase
the annual sales to 1.70 million units, sales revenue to 180
billion RMB yuan and overall market presence to 18%, and make
the group be an independent, open automotive group with sustainable
development potential and international competency. |
